The homeowners were raising a young family and wanted the character of a heritage home combined with the functionality and aesthetic of a modern NYC-inspired row house.  Unique design elements include extensive use of dark, moody colour palettes, stained wood built-ins, arches and rounded corners to soften transitions, and bold wallpaper selections that create distinct identities for each room.    Energy and comfort enhancements included 2lb spray foam, strategic soundproofing on the party wall, new high-performance windows and doors, zoned hydronic infloor heating on every level.
